Lauren earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Illinois State University and brings years of experience as a school-based SLP.
Clinical Superpower: Lauren loves collaborating with teachers and families to support the “whole child.” Her clinical interests include Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), and literacy. As a mom herself, she loves helping parents bridge the gap between therapy goals and schoolwork.
Why She Loves Pediatrics: It is no surprise that Lauren’s favorite therapy tool is a good book! She loves using stories to build language skills. She is also a fan of incorporating a child’s actual homework into sessions—this helps busy families save study time while showing kids exactly how therapy helps them succeed in the classroom.
Fun Fact: Lauren loves to sing! She performed as an Alto in both her high school and college choirs.
